MTS 100 tyre sealant is a water based with fibre, liquid tyre sealant that is essential in those applications where the continuing performance of pneumatic tyres is Mission Critical to an operation. It is an automated preventative system that seals leaks in the tread area of pneumatic tyres the instant they occur.
MTS 100 TYRE SEALANT
No operator intervention is required as MTS 100 seals punctures utilising
the movement of the vehicle coupled with the escaping air attempting to escape through the leak.
Supplied as a liquid, MTS 100 is pumped into a tyre through the valve stem. The valve is re-inserted and the tyre is inflated to normal operating presure. As soon as the vehicle moves the MTS 100 is activated.
Being a liquid MTS 100 coats the interior of the tyre as the vehicle moves.
Millions of fibres are held in suspention within the liquid, and it is these fibres that plug the leak.
When a puncture occurs the air held under pressure within tries to escape
through the hole. When the MTS 100 is activated it passes through the liquid barrier taking the fibres out of suspention and forcing them into the hole. As
the fibres are forced into the hole they restrict the passage of the air to the extent that the leak is sealed.
Under working conditions this operation takes place within one revolution of the wheel resulting in negligible pressure loss from the tyre.
The plug formed by the fibres is a permanent seal and uses only a fraction
of the fibres held by the MTS 100. This means that any subsequent leaks
are sealed in the same way. Once MTS 100 has been installed it is operable for the life of the tyre.
MTS 100 is beneficial in both tubeless and tube tyres with its ability to seal most leaks as they occur with minimal pressure loss. This ensures that the tyres are maintained at the correct pressure thereby eliminating tread wear through heat build up as a result of underinflated tyres.
Active constituents of MTS 100 can significantly enhance tyre life by cooling the tyre whilst it is in operation. The cooling of the tyre reduces heat build up which is a major cause of tread wear.
NOTE :
MTS 100 is NOT RECOMMENDED for high-speed vehicles (cars, LDV's , etc.) because the product will drastically affect the balancing and handling of such vehicles at high speeds if the recommended
quantities are applied. ( Not applicable for long hauling trucks )
MTS 100 tyre sealant must never be diluted otherwise it will loose its orginal characteristics.
Although the MTS 100 tyre sealant works on tube and tubeless tyre it is less effective on tube tyres.
